We’ve had an exciting start to 2022 at Cottonsafe® Natural Mattress.

A few months ago Mark and Elizabeth Dowen, the founders of the company, took the decision to make the very most of their golden years and decided it was time to take the leap into retirement.

Mark was keen to ensure Cottonsafe® remained a leader of the chemical-free bed mattress industry, and so approached the company’s Production Manager, Jamie, to discuss the opportunity of taking over the business.

And the rest is history! Mark passed the baton to Jamie and his wife Rebecca in the first week of January.

Jamie has worked for Cottonsafe® since 2016, starting with the business as a production assistant, since then he has developed Mark’s enthusiasm for fighting the good fight against the use of fire retardant chemicals in mattresses as well as developing luxurious mattresses with natural, organic or vegan fillings.

Rebecca has a background in luxury interior design and has a keen interest in bringing sustainability to the luxury and mattress sector.

With a young family, they can’t think of a better time to take the leap and help to grow this amazing small business which remains committed to bringing the very best and safest bed mattresses to the industry.

Our small, skilled and dedicated team remains in place to help you achieve a blissfully comfortable and worry free, nights sleep.

Keep an eye out for news of the newest member of our mattress range currently in testing which will launch very soon. We are sure you will love it as much as we do. Your only problem will be forcing yourself to get out of bed in the morning!
