Our Vegan children’s mattress has the sprung comfort of individual pocket springs, nestled between supportive and soft low carbon, recycled polyester providing maximum breathability, comfort and support. and topped with soft cotton layers that cradle your body as you sleep. Finished in our Vegan society accredited cooling polyester cover, it is 100% chemical and fire retardant free.
Hand-crafted in our Devon based workshop on the outskirts of Woodbury – the Vegan Children’s mattress has the same fillings on both sides meaning it is a fully turnable mattress. The Vegan Children’s bed mattress is quality assured by our craftspeople and comes with a 5 year warranty.
The Vegan Children’s bed mattress is designed to cater for kids aged 2 to around 10 and offers the perfect support for their physical development. Designed alongside our friends at the Children's sleep charity, you can sleep soundly knowing that your children are too.
Like all our mattresses the Vegan Children's mattress is completely free from chemicals including Fire retardants and spray adhesives.

Materials
Polyester
An exceptionally breathable fibre, polyester evaporates moisture quickly, it’s non-allergenic which makes it the perfect sleeping solution for those suffering with multiple chemical sensitives and other allergies. Polyester sometimes has a bad press because it is a man-made fibre – but polyester is incredibly strong and gives great longevity! Furthermore it has a carbon footprint of about 3.8 Kg CO2e/Kg. This is about 40% less than that of cotton. So it has a lower environmental impact and is great for the circular economy. Interestingly polyester can also be used in organic mattresses under the GOTS regulations due to its very low off-gassing properties.
Cotton
Soft and breathable, cotton is the world’s most widely used fibre. Naturally hypoallergenic and temperature regulating cotton offers superior comfort and hugs the body in the same way memory foam does, but without the nasty chemicals.

Individually nested pocket springs offer a more traditional sleep comfort.

Product Care
The Children's mattress is a double-sided mattress, it requires regular flipping and rotating.
It is not uncommon for a small amount of dipping to appear in your mattress or topper where the natural fibres have been compressed. We recommend you flip and rotate your new Children's mattress weekly for the first 4 – 6 months to allow the fillings to settle evenly across the top surface.
