“Vegan Mattress Topper - Tops!! Lovely and comfy, like sleeping in a cloud.”
Introducing our Vegan Topper. Made without any chemical fire retardants, our topper ensures you are safe from fire but, most importantly, free from harmful chemicals.
If you are unable to replace your mattress but still want a chemical free mattress, our Vegan topper is a great and affordable option to place over your existing mattress.
Or for the perfect FR chemical free combination, choose one of our Vegan mattresses with a Vegan topper for the ultimate comfort and longevity.
Our toppers are handmade and crafted to order in our Devon workshop. The Vegan Topper is covered in our Purity outer fabric, quilted with polyester for a luxury cushioned surface. It has a taped edge, securing the fillings in place and giving a polished finish.
The topper is filled with benefiting from a super soft layer of reboundable cotton in the centre providing additional rebound and comfort.
Our mattress topper adds approximately 1 ½ inches of soft comfort, additional cushioning, and extra pressure point relief for ultimate rest and relaxation. You place the topper right on top of your mattress and a fitted sheet goes over both the topper and the mattress itself, holding the topper in place. We suggest you rotate your mattress topper which will also add longevity to your mattress.
The toppers cannot be washed, but do not require laundering - simply air once or twice a year.
Materials
Polyester
An exceptionally breathable fibre, polyester evaporates moisture quickly, it’s non-allergenic which makes it the perfect sleeping solution for those suffering with multiple chemical sensitives and other allergies. Polyester sometimes has a bad press because it is a man-made fibre – but polyester is incredibly strong and gives great longevity! Furthermore it has a carbon footprint of about 3.8 Kg CO2e/Kg. This is about 40% less than that of cotton. So it has a lower environmental impact and is great for the circular economy. Interestingly polyester can also be used in organic mattresses under the GOTS regulations due to its very low off-gassing properties.
Cotton
Soft and breathable, cotton is the world’s most widely used fibre. Naturally hypoallergenic and temperature regulating cotton offers superior comfort and hugs the body in the same way memory foam does, but without the nasty chemicals.
