Our Vegan Society accredited Vegan Value mattress offers a safe, non-toxic alternative to synthetic foam mattresses. It was important to us to be able to offer a chemical free mattress that was suitable and achievable for everyone. The Vegan Value bed mattress, handmade here in Devon, is not only affordable but hypoallergenic it is also entirely free from any animal products.
Our carefully selected low carbon, recycled polyester provides maximum breathability, comfort and support. We’ve developed our Vegan Value to provide you with all the same benefits of wool but without the use of any animal products, whilst still being completely chemical free, including Fire retardants. Our entire Vegan range is also great for people who are sensitive to smell as the polyester has almost no aroma at all.
The Vegan Value bed mattress uses polyester which is incredibly strong and gives great longevity. The different polyesters we use in the Vegan Value are also designed to mimic the functionality of natural fibres meaning they are incredibly breathable, which helps to regulate body temperature.
At the centre is a 1000 individually nestled pocket spring unit which allows the mattress to adjust and respond to your body.
The Vegan Value bed mattress boasts a OEKO-TEX and Allergy UK accredited chemical free purotex fabric cover.
Every one of our Vegan Value bed mattresses are handmade to order and like all of our mattresses, the Vegan Choice bed mattress is completely free from chemicals including Fire retardants and spray adhesives, you won’t find any glues, solvents or adhesives in the construction of any of our mattresses.

Please note that due to the width, the Euro Single, Euro King and Super King Vegan Value mattress has a layer of cotton rich felt under the cover instead of the polyester layer.

Polyester
An exceptionally breathable fibre, polyester evaporates moisture quickly, it’s non-allergenic which makes it the perfect sleeping solution for those suffering with multiple chemical sensitives and other allergies. Polyester sometimes has a bad press because it is a man-made fibre – but polyester is incredibly strong and gives great longevity! Furthermore it has a carbon footprint of about 3.8 Kg CO2e/Kg. This is about 40% less than that of cotton. So it has a lower environmental impact and is great for the circular economy. Interestingly polyester can also be used in organic mattresses under the GOTS regulations due to its very low off-gassing properties.

Product Care
The Vegan Value mattress is a double-sided mattress, this means it requires regular flipping and rotating.
It is not uncommon for a small amount of dipping to appear in your mattress or topper where the natural fibres have been compressed . We recommend you flip and rotate your new Vegan Value mattress weekly for the first 4 – 6 months to allow the fillings to settle evenly across the top surface.
