This super product creates a very solid deep mattress which is particularly suitable for use as a frequently used bed or on a Three-seat frame.
Filled with five luxuriously thick layers of cotton felt nestled between two layers of the finest quality British Wool, the cotton felt gently cradles the body whilst being highly breathable, supporting the body with night-time temperature regulation, so it will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Our 4’6 (double) and 5’ (king) TradLux Futon Mattresses are designed with both bed and futon frames in mind.
We are committed to bringing healthier sleep environments into people homes which is why you will find that all our fillings are completely chemical free. We do not use any fire-retardant chemicals, foams, bleaches or adhesives on any of our futon mattress fillings.
Available in a range of fabrics you can choose to have your TradLux Futon Mattresses finished with matching solid buttons, or soft tufts if you plan to use it for regular bed use. Speak with our friendly admin team to discuss which option suits you.
The extra thick layers make this substantial futon quite heavy in comparison to some other futons.

Our wool is sourced locally from British farms, it provides outstanding temperature control and is naturally hypoallergenic which makes it the obvious choice for a natural sleep environment.
Cotton
Soft and breathable, cotton is the world’s most widely used fibre. Naturally hypoallergenic and temperature regulating our the cotton used in our clever Cottonsafe® cover is organic and the cotton fibre within the mattress fillings is pesticide free, making it safe and sustainable.

The TradLux Futomat is a double-sided futon style mattress, it requires regular flipping and rotating.
It is not uncommon for dipping to appear in your Futomat where the natural fibres have been compressed. We recommend you flip and rotate weekly for the first 4 – 6 months to allow the fillings to settle evenly across the top surface. Please be aware, that unlike our other mattresses the Tradlux doesn't use a core layer such as a spring or Latex and it will settle in well used areas. This is the nature of the product and is not a manufacturing issue. It is a very different sleep surface to a more traditional sprung mattress so if you have any questions, please get in touch!
